OurHistory
Since its establishment in 2017, The Local at Lake Walk has connected artisans, crafters, makers, and small businesses with members of the Bryan/College Station community.

Held in the fall and spring, each season of The Local features over 50 vendors and food trucks from across the Brazos Valley. The main requirement? Vendors must make and produce their own goods. The Local provides an outlet for small business owners to not only sell their products but to highlight their wares and dedication to their craft.

In addition to handmade goods like goat milk soaps and custom woodworking, The Local at Lake Walk also features fresh baked breads, small batch ice creams, street tacos, and even wood-fired pizzas. The Local at Lake Walk offers music, giveaways, and themed activities designed to provide an all-inclusive experience.

From 10 vendors in Summer 2017 to over 50 vendors for our holiday market in December 2019, the growth of The Local has been one of the most inspiring elements since the inception of the event. The Local is organized, operated, and marketed by a small, local events team. We are passionate and dedicated to creating experiences unique for our shoppers while also fostering relationships for our vendors to succeed and see their small businesses grow.
