About Just Greater Plans
Chanae started Just Greater Plans in 2016, but has been selling her art all the way since grad school. She used her art as a way to express herself through a period of illness, and now creates works to inspire and connect people through difficult times of their own. This season Chanae has been focusing on symbolic motifs such as rainbows, hummingbirds, butterflies, and landscapes shared with her by friends and family. Her favorites are her hummingbird and bluebonnet paintings as they spark the best conversations with her customers.
What makes this art so unique is that Chanae paints with pallet knives instead of brushes! She specializes is realistic subjects that combined with the freeform technique results in art with dimension and texture you can't achieve with traditional paintbrushes. In addition to her market collection, Chanae loves to do custom commissions and if you see the perfect stocking stuffer be sure to talk to her about a bulk order!
Chanae thinks you should visit The Local because "there's something here for everyone! Every vendor is so talented and unique which reflects in the variety of everyone's wares. The environment created here is fun, which only adds to the whole experience."
About Moonstruck
Rebeca started Moonstruck a year and half ago at a local farmers markets but has expanded to be a premier baker in the BCS area. Born and raised here in College Station, her journey began at a young age inspired by Cake Boss. Supported and encouraged by her mother, Rebeca is thankful for having found a place in the community that allows her to do what she loves for a living.
Her variety of pastries, confections, and baked goods change every week! Her favorite though is a classic almond croissant. In addition to being a talented baker, Rebeca is also a talented part-time ceramicist and makes pottery at a local studio.
Rebeca thinks you should visit The Local because "it's a beautiful place to enjoy your evening!"
About WoodLab Designs Co.
Jessica started WoodLab Designs TX two years ago as something to share her passion for crafting with others. In college many of her and her husbands dates consisted of The Pottery Barn, U-Paint-It, or something similar. After their son was born, they invested in tools to begin woodcrafting in the garage after he went to bed. A few months later, we transitioned our hobby to a small business and launched our Etsy store in 2021.
Now they sell handcrafted wooden gift items. charcuterie boards, cutting boards, coasters, earrings, ornaments, and home decor. Her favorite is their Texas Charcuterie Board, which like many of their items can be personalized!
Jessica thinks you should visit The Local because we are "a wonderful opportunity to shop or simply learn about some small businesses in the area. The kid friendly, dog friendly atmosphere makes for a fun evening for everyone"
